Belarus Leader Rejects Compromise and Pours Scorn on Opposition

Showing no signs of yielding, President Aleksandr Lukashenko denounced a new opposition council as “wild Nazis.” The Kremlin warned European leaders not to get involved in the unrest in Belarus.
