Attempt at Cease-Fire in Sudan Appears to Fail as Reports of Fighting Continue

An announcement of a 24-hour pause in fighting seemed to go unheeded as many residents in Khartoum, the capital, said they remained trapped in their homes and were running low on food, water and supplies.
