The Democratic National Committee had been slated to make a decision about Iowa’s first-in-the-nation caucuses as early as this week.

“There’s no denying that this is a good poll for Bernie Sanders,” said pollster J. Ann Selzer, president of Selzer & Co., which conducted the poll.

“Well, first of all, I would obey any subpoena that was sent to me,” Joe Biden said after an Iowa audience member asked him about the issue.

“The worst part about it is it feels like now our own president is saying that a war fighter and a war criminal are the same,” Buttigieg said in Iowa.

Pete Buttigieg’s rise from 1% in the Register’s March poll to the top of it reflects the selling point of Iowa’s system, pollster J. Ann Selzer said.

“He said they should go home. He should go home,” Joe Biden said of the president after Trump’s two days of attacks on four Democratic women of color in the House.

There is some significant upside for Kamala Harris in the poll, and some warning signs for Joe Biden.

“I’m told that the White House respects my views on a lot of issues,” Grassley said. “(Trump’s) comments on wind energy …were, first of all, idiotic. And it didn’t show much respect.”
