Democrats have less than 2 years to make sure America never has another president who would incite a mob against his own government. End the filibuster.

His glib celebration of failed response to the pandemic has made the immediate stakes of this election clear: We must stop him.

Unfortunately, the biggest loser of the night was human civilization. Not one question about climate change.

Democrats must show that Republicans made Trump’s corruption inevitable and count on 2020 voters to end this nightmare. They are our last resort.

We now have President Pence plus Trump’s criminality, obstruction, aspiring authoritarianism and reliance on us to subsidize his family and businesses.

Biden’s middle-of-the-road malarkey is not the answer in 2020. No presidential candidate in my lifetime has better matched America’s needs than Warren.

We have to decide if we’re willing to go on with a presidentwho was elected with Russian help and tried 10 times to obstruct a probe into that help.

But the president will need more than top-notch political machinery to repeat in a state he barely won in 2016.

Most Democrats, including me, would gleefully support Biden over Trump or Pence. Yet it would be delusional to ignorethe brutal undertow facing him.
